Choirmaster
Mgr Anna Mundilová
Anna Mundilová took over the lead of the choir in June 2012 from Mrs Dana Škardová. Ms Mundilová conducts both sections of Jiskřička and she intends to found a new section for the youngest members of the choir. As a choirmaster, she emphasises the development of vocal technique, perception and feeling of music, and also on the development of children’s personality.
Accomplishments:
- Master’s degree in Musical Education and Choir Conducting at Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University
- Art school – completed course of playing the piano and solo singing
- Years of vocal experience as a member of mixed choirs, women’s and children’s choirs
The founder choirmaster
Dana Škardová
Mrs Dana Škardová had founded the Children’s choir Jiskřička in 1985 under the auspices of Bratří Jandusů elementary school in Prague 22 – Uhříněves. The choir was originally attended by pupils of Uhříněves elementary school, but later developed into a selective choir with members from various parts of Prague.
Accomplishments:
- Secondary school of Education – Teacher Training and Pedagogy
- Art school – Completed course of playing the piano
- Conservatory – Acting, Choirmastership
- Attended private lessons of Professor Hořejšová – solo singing
